Ingredients:1
¾ cup flour ½
tsp baking soda ½
tsp baking powder pinch
of salt 8
Tbs unsalted butter, softened 1
cup sugar 2
large eggs 1
tsp lemon zest 1 tsp orange zest 1 ½ cups hazelnuts, roasted, skinned, and ground 1
cup whole unsalted pistachio nuts. Directions:
Preheat oven to 350oF (180oC) 2. Cream butter and sugar in mixer until fluffy. Beat in eggs and zests. 3. Stir in flour
and lastly, stir in nuts. 4. Divide the dough
into three equal parts.
On a floured board with
floured hands, shape the dough into
three 1 inch thick logs. Place on a
cookie sheet placing them 3 inches apart.
Bake approximately 25 minutes or until firm in center.
Let cool. 5.
Reduce oven to 275oF (140oC) Cut logs at
an angle into ½ inch (1.2
cm) slices. Note: The baking time might vary due to differences in ovens. |
