Ingredients:

onions, chopped 2
cloves garlic, minced 1
cup tomato puree 3
Tbs vinegar 4
Tbs honey 2
cups hot water 1
large bay leaf 3

Discard
water and put beans in a pot, cover with water.
Bring to a boil and then simmer for approximately 2 hours. Drain. Prepare
sauce: 1. Heat
oil in a saucepan and sauté onions until soft.
Add the garlic and sauté one minute. Add remaining ingredients and
bring to a boil. 2. Mix
the sauce with the beans and pour them into a shallow baking pan.
Bake approximately one hour until most of the liquid has been absorbed. 3. Allow to cool. Serve at room temperature. |
